Medical Software Service Provider: AGI was approached by an entrepreneur seeking funding for a proposed start-up service provider to the insurance industry. At the time, the entirety of the idea existed on a single CD-ROM. AGI approached 16 experienced private investors known to the firm and raised £250,000 to launch medibureau. AGI also suggested a Chairman and a non-Executive director to assist medibureau’s growth. Subsequent additional funding of £350,000, from the same and other investors, allowed the company to become a leading business process outsourcer specializing in obtaining medical evidence required for risk assessment in both the underwriting and the claims segments of the life insurance market.
